Ever since I can remember, I’ve been surrounded by animals, thanks to my family’s love for dogs and a myriad of other creatures. My dad had a knack for bringing home all sorts of pets - from rabbits to a macaw, and even a llama! Despite this early exposure, it wasn't until after high school that I considered a career in veterinary medicine. A turning point came during vet school when a friend introduced me to her cats. I was instantly captivated by their unique personalities and quirks, which led me to spend countless hours with them. My commitment to feline care deepened when I adopted my own cat, Gato, who quickly became a cherished member of my family.
Nearly six years ago, I moved to Australia, balancing my nursing role while getting my bachelor’s degree recognised. It was during this journey that I discovered my true passion for veterinary medicine, especially the fascinating world of feline health.
I’m thrilled to be part of The Cat Doctors team, where our shared love for cats creates a vibrant and supportive environment. I have the privilege of learning from some of the best in the field, and I’m dedicated to treating every cat that walks through our doors like family. I understand the deep bond between pets and their owners, as Gato holds a special place in my heart, motivating me to provide the highest standard of care.
When I’m not caring for our feline friends, you’ll find me staying active with pilates and running, or exploring Melbourne’s diverse culinary scene, especially the South American flavors that remind me of home. My partner, who is also a veterinarian, shares this journey with me, and together we make the perfect team for Gato and our passion for animal care.
I’m excited to help you and your beloved cats at The Cat Doctors!
