I feel like I was born to be a vet - quite literally, as I arrived in the middle of my mother’s final veterinary exams! I’ve always been passionate about animals and am continually inspired by the human-animal bond, as well as the creative problem-solving that veterinary medicine allows. I love being part of a profession where I can perform surgery, work through diagnostics, and still enjoy a quiet moment cuddling a kitten all in one day.
With every cat I meet, my goal is to respect their individual personality and ensure they feel as comfortable as possible, while still providing thorough, gentle, and high-quality care.
At home, I share my life with my husband Adam and our two children, Asha and Zev - both of whose first words were “kitty”! Our family also includes Sophie, our beloved mixed-breed dog who moved with us from South Africa. She is very much part of the family and takes her role as self-appointed manager and big sister quite seriously.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, especially hiking and snorkelling whenever I get the chance. My family and I moved from Cape Town to Melbourne in 2022, and I also have a creative side, with a degree in Fine Art (painting) and an eclectic taste that I like to bring into different aspects of my life.
Working with The Cat Doctor team is a true privilege. Being able to care exclusively for cats, alongside exceptional colleagues in a practice with such high standards, has been a real highlight in my career.
